Dear Lord, thank You for giving us people to love and to be loved by. Thank You for the people who live at our house. Give us Your kind of love for one another. Help us to be forgiving, kind, and true. Especially we ask that You would keep us close to You. Give us joy in reading Your Word and praising You together. Protect us in times of danger, and keep us trusting You at all times.
Come, Lord Jesus, be our Guest! Amen.
PRAYER AT NIGHT
Now the light has gone away;
Savior, listen while I pray,
Asking Thee to watch and keep
And to send me quiet sleep.
Jesus, Savior, wash away
All that has been wrong today;
Help me every day to be
Good and gentle, more like Thee.
Let me near and dear ones be
Always near and dear to Thee.
Oh, bring me and all I love
To Thy happy home above. Amen.
SUNDAY PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, be with us today as we sing the praises of Him who died for us, as we pray and give thanks, and receive instruction from Thy Word. Grant that we all may be thoughtful and reverent in Thy house. May Thy Holy Spirit dwell in our hearts and enable us to grasp the lesson which is taught us and to obey it during the week. We ask this for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
BIRTHDAY
Dear Lord, thank You for my life – and for another birthday. Help me grow bigger and stronger. Help me grow in understanding and wisdom. Help me to grow in faith and to trust Your loving care for me. Thank You for my family and friends, through whom Your love comes to me. Bless them with every good thing. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
GENERAL PRAYER
Precious Jesus, who said, “Let the little children come unto Me and forbid them not,” we are happy in knowing Your great love for us. We thank You for parents and others who teach us the Bible and have led us into Your waiting arms. Keep us from harm and danger. When we are tempted, make us strong to resist. Help us to understand and remember Your Word and always to do what it tells us. Have mercy on the children who do not know You and help us to bring them to You. Graciously hear us. Amen.
